Superhero movies have been the toast of the town the last few years. However arguably there is one movie fans of all ages have been waiting years for. Fortunately for them, not only has a release date been set for the follow-up film to the 2004 animated blockbuster "The Incredibles" but the cast and crew of the upcoming movie themselves have been spilling details about the sequel.

Recently, Brad Bird, director of the original movie and the upcoming sequel, has revealed that he already has a clear vision of what "The Incredibles 2" would be about. He has also explained that at the core of his movie is family dynamics more so than being superheroes.

"For me, the interesting thing was never the superhero part of it. It was more the family dynamic, and how do superhero things play into that. So the movie is a step further in that direction – but I do have a story idea that I think is very intriguing, and not like anything else." Explained Bird.

According to reports, "The Incredibles 2" will be focusing on the youngest member of the Parr family, Jack-Jack. In the previous film, audiences got a glimpse of how powerful Jack-jack really is so rumors aren't completely unfounded.

More than the plot, former cast members of the animated film have spoken up about the possibility returning to the franchise. Samuel L. Jackson, the actor who played Frozone, has since expressed his desire to reprise his superhero role.

"I guess they could be "The Incredibles" without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what's already there," Quipped Jackson.

Neither Pixar nor Disney has confirmed rumors about the plot of the film. "The Incredibles 2" however is scheduled to premiere on June 21, 2019.
