Tim Tebow news 2016: Former NFL quarterback not closing doors on possible stint in politics

The National Football League (NFL) has not been kind to quarterback Tim Tebow, so perhaps his destined career is not in sports, but in politics.

In Tebow's recent annual golf charity event, Ainsley Earhardt of Fox & Friends was present to cover it. Earhardt had the chance to speak to the quarterback's family and his mother about the event and the children helped by his foundation.

But the highlight of Earhardt's visit was her conversation with Tebow regarding politics, which kept the world buzzing. It seems like the former Florida Gator is open to running for office.

When Earhardt asked him about politics, saying he is a role model to kids, Tebow said he is uncertain about the matter at this point of his life.

Earhardt followed that up by asking if there is a possibility and his response was, "If there's a chance that you can make a difference, some day, in something, then that would be intriguing."

Tebow may not have had a successful career after college but as a devout Christian, his acts of charity and humble attitude have made the people love and support him through the years.

It is uncertain if Tebow sees politics as his next endeavor since up to now, he is trying to return to the NFL.

The last time the 28-year-old played in an NFL regular season game was in the 2012 season while with the New York Jets. After that, he became a college football analyst while trying to work his way back to the league.

Before the 2015 season, Tebow had another shot when the Philadelphia Eagles signed him last April, during the time they were looking for a third string quarterback. He played in four pre-season games and appeared to be doing well. But it was not enough as he was shut down again, getting released September.
