'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 release date: Madhouse Entertainment to produce

(Weekly Young Jump)"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is expected to release in winter.

The first two seasons of the dark fantasy animated series "Tokyo Ghoul" received a number of negative reviews from its die-hard fans. A new animation producer has been enlisted to give a new direction to the anime.

According to Anime Maru, in order to give justice to the original material by manga artist Sui Ishida, there are reports saying that animation producer Studio Perriot steps down and Madhouse Entertainment takes over to give a new direction to the series. It is also expected to come out in winter.

Madhouse Entertainment apparently aims to create an anime series that follows closer to the manga and to regain the trust of the fans of the series. With this vision, it can be expected that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will include story arcs and characterizations that are faithful to the original content.

According to a reliable source of the report, "This is perhaps the most disillusioning, psychological and darkest plot line that we will attempt to adapt. We hope to remain as faithful as possible to the source material, although we cannot guarantee that more gory scenes such as Touka's standardized exam test-taking will not be censored."

In other related news, "Tokyo Ghoul's" manga author Ishida is reportedly recreating the opening chapters of the manga with full color and new artwork as part of a collaboration with Japanese fashion magazine "Men's Non-no." It will appear on the magazine's October issue at the special 42-colored paged appendix. A special interview with the author, live-action film actors Masataka Kubota and Fumika Shimizu are also included.

Although the delay of the animated series has not been disclosed, rumor has it that the live-action film adaptation is given more focus by the writers since its production starts earlier than the anime.

The live-action film is slated to come out in summer 2017. However, no official word has been released whether there is a connection between the season 3 of the anime and the film.
