'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 plot rumors: Ken Kaneki to declare himself as One-Eyed King; anime to feature time jump

(Facebook/Tokyo Ghoul)According to rumors, "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be faithful to its manga counterpart and will feature Ken Kaneki as the One-Eyed King.

While there is still no certainty as to when exactly "Tokyo Ghoul" will return for its season 3 run, rumor has it that it will follow the sequence of events in the manga, which means Ken Kaneki will be declared as the One-Eyed King.

According to reports, "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will pick up from the chapter 86 of the manga counterpart of the anime, where Ken Kaneki is asked by Eto Yoshimura to declare himself as the One-Eyed King following his victory over Kishou Arima.

In the event that the upcoming season 3 of "Tokyo Ghoul" will really stay true to its manga origins, it can also be expected that the anime will also feature a two-year time jump, as, in the print version of "Tokyo Ghoul," the story picks up two years after the events of the raid of the Anteiku Cafe by the Kishou Arima-led CCG.

It is also alleged that the upcoming season will feature the formation of an organization called The Quinx Squad, whose primary task will be to eliminate the ghouls. Reportedly, this organization is composed of normal humans who possess the power of ghouls after going under the knife. With the formation of The Quinx Squad, it is believed that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be even more exciting with the addition of humans who can match the power of the ghouls.

There are also speculations saying that "Tokyo Ghoul" will feature Ken Kaneki assuming a different identity after winning his fight with Arim. Allegedly, the protagonist of the anime series will hide behind the persona of Haise Sasaki, an investigator.

Reportedly, the reason for Ken Kaneki's move to assume a different identity is that he is being held captive by other ghouls, resulting in his change of view and opinion.

While there is no denying that things will, indeed, get exciting for "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3, much more if the aforementioned rumors turn out to be true, unfortunately, the release date of the anime is still up in the air with no one behind its creation hinting as to when it will be released.
