'Toy Story 4' release date: Sequel reported to be a romantic comedy

(Disney/Pixar/Toy Story Official Facebook Page)"Toy Story" is set to be released on June 15, 2018.

Pixar and Disney never fail to get their fans excited every time they produce a movie. "Toy Story 4" is finally coming after 5 years of waiting. This was reportedly officially announced by Bob Iger, Walt Disney CEO during a meeting for investors. The film is set to hit the big screen on June 15, 2018.

The movie was also confirmed by Tom Hanks (who voices Woody) in an interview from "The Graham Norton Show." During the interview, Hanks shared what he went through while recording Woody's voice. It really is a big challenge for the voice actor. He even explained that his diaphragm really gets a workout and he puts an ice pack on his chest while driving home because it was clenched throughout the session.

"Toy Story" fans are likely to ask about what to expect in the upcoming film. According to a Twitter post from "Good Morning America," the fourth installment will focus on the love story between Woody and Bo Peep. The two's romantic relationship has been dabbled into in the past, but an entire movie about it is surely exciting.

"Toy Story 4" is going to be a whole new adventure for the animated characters because it won't be the usual "Toy Story" plot. Rumors say that this won't really be a sequel to "Toy Story 3."

According to Slash Film, the President of Pixar Studios, Jim Morris, explained to Disney Latino: "It will be a romantic comedy. It will not put much focus on the interaction between the characters and children. I think it will be a very good movie."

If viewers can remember, the first three "Toy Story" movies focused on the relationship between the toys and their owner. It was about how children took care of their toys. "Toy Story 3" wrapped up the concept very well. Woody and his friends were settled and in good hands.

"Toy Story 4" is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 15, 2018.
