'Transformers 5' news, updates: Bumblebee shines while filming in London

(Facebook/Transformers)"Transformers: The Last Knight" is currently filming in London's Tower Bridge and the residents are not very happy about it

Following reports that shooting in London may be halted due to the disappointment of some citizens who felt it was wrong to close down the Tower Bridge for filming "Transformers 5: The Last Knight," the cast and crew remain busy on the streets of London.

Last week, Londoners took to social media, expressing their dismay over the Tower Bridge's shutdown. The local government announced that the bridge will have to be closed down due to maintenance and repairs but the weekend saw Bumblebee and other "Transformers" vehicles, as well as the cast and crew, hanging out on the bridge.

For some, the real reason behind Tower Bridge closing for a couple of months was really for a successful "Transformers 5: The Last Knight" shooting spree, and not for maintenance.

Despite the speculations, filming pushes through in London and it seems that a lot of the city's residents are still willing to give the movie a chance to shoot scenes in peace.

A new video uploaded by the franchise on Facebook shows off the dazzling cars in all their glory, but most importantly, the spotlight seemed to shine a lot on Bumblebee, who happens to be a fan favorite.

Aside from speeding on the busy streets with a police car in tow, Bumblebee is also seen making a nice and jaw-dropping spin while escaping chasers. Crew members are seen backing off as Bumblebee makes the perfect spin before speeding away from the scene.

Moviegoers know Bumblebee from the beginning, a beloved Autobot who has gained the attention of many "Transformers" fans, particularly teens and kids. In fact, he has various names in other countries including: Bumble (Japan), Abejorro (Mexico) and Maggiolino (Italy).

Bumblebee is undeniably an integral part of the hit franchise not only because of his awesome fighting style but also because of his fun personality. A lot of fans have stated that they like Bumblebee more than Optimus Prime, the team's leader.

It seems that Bumblebee will take a lot of the spotlight when "Transformers 5: The Last Knight" arrives. Though there have been previous rumors stating that Optimus Prime will soon pass the baton and this storyline will be explored in the fifth installment, it could be that Bumblebee is also given the chance to shine.

"Transformers 5: The Last Knight" will hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
