The world's largest travel site, TripAdvisor, names the best beaches in the United States. Based on reviews and opinions from millions of travelers on TripAdvisor, the top 10 beaches includes, Lanikai Beach, Ka'anapali Beach, Siesta Key Public Beach, Hanalei Beach, Wai'anapanapa State Park, Wailea Beach, Hunting Island State Park, Manini'owali Beach (Kua Bay), Saint Pete Beach, and Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.

The winners of the Travelers' Choice Awards for Beaches was announced Tuesday on its website. Chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor Barbara Messing said in a statement, "For those fed up with the long cold winter, there's really no better cure than an escape to one of these award-winning beaches. Even if you can't go to one of these stunning beaches soon, just looking at the photos will take you away for a moment, until you can plan a trip."

The winners of the Travelers' Choice Beaches Award were determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings for beaches on TripAdvisor gathered over a 12-month period, starting last March 2014.

Now on in its second year, the awards recognized more than 322 beaches globally. The top lists of winners includes beaches from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, South America, the South Pacific, and the U.S.
