(Facebook/UnbreakableKimmySchmidt)'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' season 2 to feature star-studded cameos

With only two weeks to go until its premiere, more details for season 2 of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" have finally surfaced. Based on the trailer, promos, and official photos released, it seems that viewers will continue to see more of the humorous storylines and characters that made season 1 of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" one of the breakout hits of 2015.

In the upcoming season, Kimmy continues to try to get her life back on track after being holed up in a bunker for 15 years. Following the departure of Jacqueline Voorhees, Kimmy applies for a new job as an elf at a year-round Christmas store. However, soon after, Jacqueline returns to New York and asks Kimmy for help. She intends to go through with her divorce from Julian but wants to keep all the perks of being a trophy wife.

The trailer also shows that Kimmy is still quite naïve. Thankfully, Titus and Lillian are there to guide her. In the trailer, Titus provides Kimmy with dating advice after she forgets to get a cute guy's number. Kimmy will also continue to pursue her G.E.D. and will start therapy to deal with her experiences in the bunker.

Unfortunately, trailers and promos have not featured Dong, Kimmy's love interest from season 1. He was last seen getting married to classmate Sonya to avoid getting deported back to Vietnam.

While fans are disappointed at Dong's absence, they are sure to have a fun time seeing all the celebrity cameos in the upcoming season. Recently released photos preview appearances from the likes of Amy Sedaris, Zosia Mamet, Evan Jonigkeit, David Cross, and Fred Armisen.

Notable cameos also include Anna Camp as Deidre Robespierre, a Princeton-grad trophy wife set to join the scene when Jacqueline tries to enter New York's high society. Meanwhile, Jeff Goldblum portrays Dr. Dave, a TV host who becomes interested in the story of the Mole Women of Indiana.

Finally, show creator Tina Fey takes on a new role this season as Kimmy's therapist, Andrea Bayden. However, like season 1's incompetent prosecutor Marcia, viewers will be questioning Andrea's qualifications. In the released photo, Andrea downs a mug of beer while out with Kimmy.

Season 2 of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" premieres this Apr. 15, Friday, on Netflix.
