Fans of the 'Underworld' movie franchise will be pleased to find out that there will be two new movies coming out.

The director of the franchise, Len Wisemen, made the announcement of the birth of 'Underworld 5' during the recently-held New York Comic Con 2014. Wiseman added that Theo James will lead the said reboot.

Reports are also suggesting that one of its lead stars, Kate Beckinsale, will be back in one of the movies to reprise her role as Selene. Beckinsale's role is expected to come back in the second new film, contrary to her statement in the past that she is "done" with the franchise.

Although some details are already out about the said two new movies, the lead stars of the TV series are still uncertain. It is still unsure whether Beckinsale or James will star in the series, and it could be possible that the two of them appear.

Wisman's statement in an interview with IGN suggests that the series will be a spin-off on some characters he likes.

"There's a few things being developed right now. There are some characters who we really liked that will be in a kind of a spin-off like we did with Rise of the Lycans, then we have another film in the works with Kate [Beckinsale] as well," Wiseman said in an interview with IGN.
