US presidential polls news update: Results point to Hillary Clinton leading the race

(Reuters/Lucy Nicholson)The Democratic Party's candidate, Hillary Clinton, seems to be leading the presidential race.

With voting day fast approaching, there is a lot of anticipation regarding how the competition is between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Months into the presidential campaigns, there is still no clear winner for the upcoming elections. Reports say that Clinton, the Democratic Party's candidate, and Trump, the Republican Party's candidate, are currently head-to-head.

That being said, the national polls continue to present interesting outcomes which show the unpredictability of the election's results. With a sample size of 1000, the polls are able to track the shift between the two candidates.

After weeks of mapping, it was revealed that there are 13 states currently named as the determinators of who will win the election. If the said battleground states continue to produce the same results, it is likely that the win will go to Hillary Clinton since a number of those are leaning toward the Democratic Party.

However, there is still a chance for Trump to win if the states of Florida and Ohio vote in favor of him. Meanwhile, it was stated that although Clinton currently has a hold on Florida, Ohio reportedly prefers Trump over her.

As of Oct. 27, 2016, the results of the polls from RealClearPolitics are posted below.

Arizona: Clinton 44 Trump 42
Colorado: Clinton 45 Trump 38
Florida: Clinton 46 Trump 45
Georgia: Clinton 44 Trump 47
Iowa: Clinton 38 Trump 42
Michigan: Clinton 43 Trump 37
Nevada: Clinton 45 Trump 43
New Hampshire: Clinton 45 Trump 38
North Carolina: Clinton 46 Trump 44
Ohio: Clinton 45 Trump 44
Pennsylvania: Clinton 46 Trump 41
Virginia: Clinton 46 Trump 39
Wisconsin: Clinton 46 Trump 39

Aside from the poll results, it seems as though more are favoring Clinton due to the backlash that Trump has been receiving. In addition, Clinton is well-supported by big influencers, such as celebrities, which has been helping her gain the votes of the youth.

Meanwhile, it was stated that there are still some third-party candidates in the running for presidency. However, much of the news focuses on Trump and Clinton because of the big possibility of their victory.

With that, Americans will have to wait until after Nov. 8 in order to really know who will win the elections.
