"Vikings" will air its final episode of season 10 on Thursday and while fans are sad the epic period drama will be over for now, they should expect a sensational end. The history of Vikings is rich and the tale of Paris is a particularly captivating one.

In episode nine, viewers saw Ragnar being baptized by the French archbishop and the failure of Vikings to capture Paris a second time. But does that mean that the warriors will never control France? What consequences will Ragnar face now that he is a converted Christian?

In episode 10, TVGuide's official episode description teases that the Viking troops will make one daring effort to take Paris and this effort involves Ragnar requesting a favor from his son, Bjorn. This favor can change the course of Viking history. What could this favor be?

International Business Times reports that the Viking king will ask his son to marry Princes Gisla of West Francia. Ragnar may have realized that Paris cannot be conquered with brawns and courage alone. The show may lead to a wedding ceremony and the realization of the Seer's prophecy in episode five.

However, according to Design & Trend, history books reveal that Bjorn will not tie the knot with Princess Gisla. His son will decline his father's request. Instead, Gisla will end up with Rollo who also happens to be the one mentioned in the Seer's prophecy.

After Bjorn declines the request, Rollo is speculated to step up and volunteer to marry the Princess. Previous episodes also saw him smitten by the Princess' beauty, hence it is highly probable that the two will wed each other. Moreover, the Seer told Rollo that if he knew his future, he would dance naked on the beach. Additionally, he told him that he will be present at the wedding ceremony.

One shocking aspect of the promotional clip is that it teases Ragnar's death. The king turned on his Viking beliefs, therefore, the Vikings will turn on him. Even the episode's title is named "The Dead", making it more obvious that Bjorn's father could be heading for his grave.

"Vikings" airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST on The History Channel.
