'Viking's' season three episode three spoilers: photo shows Ragnar leading invading Viking force, video teaser reveals Floki and Ragnar discussing the Christians

The gruesome third season of History's 'Vikings' continues this week with its third episode entitled 'Warrior's Fate'. The first two episodes have certainly raised the stakes for the show following savage battle after savage battle. Viewers who weren't expecting the increased level of bloodshed in the new season should have acclimated by now as the series shows no signs of letting up on the carnage.

To whet the appetite of excited fans, a slew of photos and video teasers were posted at Nerd Reactor on this web page. One of the photos shows a group shot of the invading Viking force led by Ragnar, while another photo depicts a Viking working on the group's informal settlement, covered in blood and wielding a mighty axe, of course, in true Viking fashion.

Meanwhile, a video teaser featuring Floki and Ragnar shows the former asking their leader why they are fighting for the Christians. Ragnar responds exactly how you'd expect him to respond. Another video shows Siggy visiting a seer where the former asks what the Gods have in store for them. The seer doesn't offer much help other than appearing dark and mysterious, as seers are wont to do.

The official synopsis from History's official Vikings web page is as follows:

"King Ecbert visits the developing Viking settlement as the first harvest is sown and rebuffs criticism from his leading nobles. In Mercia, the Wessex/Viking forces charge at the battle at the Hill of the Ash. In Kattegat, Harbard arrives in to the Great Hall and his mysterious aura fascinates Aslaug and Helga but Siggy remains suspicious. There are strange and tragic happenings in Kattegat, and Siggy suspects Harbard is the cause."

'Warrior's Fate' will premiere at the History channel on March 5 at 10:00 PM Eastern Time.
