World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor validated the franchise's strong fanbase when it launched in November, selling 3.3 million copies within 24 hours. It also helped increase WoW's subscriber base to 10 million active players.

Blizzard fulfilled its vision of global scale invasion when it introduced the game in China a few weeks back.

"We're excited to bring Warlords of Draenor to China on November 18 and to celebrate another truly global launch," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, in the official press release.

"We've packed this expansion with a ton of new content for players to enjoy, whether they're World of Warcraft veterans or totally new to Azeroth. Together with the free character boost we're currently offering, we've made it easier than ever for anyone to jump into the action," Morhaime added.

Meanwhile, the game has continued to "wow" the gaming community and tech pundits with the vast and flavorful content contained in the Warlords of Draenor expansion.

Polygon rated the game expansion 9.5 out of the possible perfect score of 10, and called it "the best MMO in the industry." The gaming website also highlighted that the "sense of exploration" that was injected into Warlords of Draenor is just what was missing from previous expansions.

Becasue the launch was plagued with server issues in the beginning, Blizzard has offered five days of free game time to subscribers and apologized about the setback.

But despite this fiasco, Warlords of Draenor has proved to be a worthy extension to Blizzard's billion dollar franchise.
