'WWE 2K17' release date, news: Details of Accelerator, Future Stars and more DLC packs unveiled

Many wrestling fans are excited for the arrival of the latest installment of "WWE 2K" and the details have already been released for the downloadable content (DLC) that will be included for the upcoming game. The team behind "WWE 2K17" also discussed the changes that are included in the new video game.

The DLC packs have already been unveiled for the upcoming title and they are called the Accelerator, Future Stars Pack, Hall of Fame Showcase, Legends Pack and New Moves Pack. Each of these expansions can be purchased separately, but if players want to obtain them all, they can get the season pass instead, which costs $29.99.

The Accelerator pack allows gamers to unlock all the content in the title's VC Purchasable section and it is priced at $4.99. Meanwhile, the Future Stars DLC pack will include wrestlers such as Austin Aries, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. The Legends Pack has wrestlers like Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Eddie Guerrero and Tatanka. Both packs will be individually priced at $8.99.

The Hall of Fame Showcase will include iconic matches that occurred in the history of WWE and the expansion will cost $9.99. Some examples of those matches are Ivory vs. Jacqueline (SmackDown 2000), Papa Shango vs. The Godfather (Dream Match), and Big Boss Man (with Albert) vs. The Big Show (Armageddon 1999).

If players want awesome new ways to wrestle in the latest installment, they can purchase the New Moves DLC which costs $3.99. The new in-game moves that will be included are Swingout Neckbreaker, the Elbro Drop, the Face Wash Combo, and the TJP Clutch.

Furthermore, many fans are wondering what kind of changes will be seen in "WWE 2K17." Gamespot was able to speak the creative director of the game, Lynell Jinks. He mentioned, "I haven't noticed a difference." Jinks continued, saying: "I think it's one of those things where it might feel different but I think it's the same. We haven't changed it. There's also now an alternate submission meter as well, so there is more button mashing if you want to use that instead."

"WWE 2K17" is expected to be released on Oct. 11 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.
