Xbox Games with Gold November 2016 free games: 'Battlefield' and 'King's Quest' among rumored titles

(Facebook/xbox)Microsoft is expected to announce its November list for Xbox Games with Gold on Oct. 25.

It's almost November, which means Xbox users can expect another round of free games as part of the Xbox Games with Gold program. And while Microsoft has yet to announce its roster for November 2016, rumors have not stopped circulating the web.

For instance, "Battlefield" is one of the most popular titles that is rumored to be included on the list of free games. It should be noted that Sony has previously released "Battlelfield" as part of its PlayStation Plus program, but Microsoft has never made any of the games in the franchise available. It is speculated that things will be different this time around and that Xbox players will finally get their hands on the game for free.

It is widely known that "Battlefield 1" has already been released to good reviews, so it would make total sense for Microsoft to bring in "Battlefield" as a free game.

Another title is "King's Quest," which was also previously released by Sony on the PlayStation Plus program. "King's Quest Chapter 5" is going to hit the shelves on Oct. 25, which means it is likely that Microsoft will release one of the chapters of "King's Quest," in order to boost sales for its upcoming fifth chapter. This will make for good promotion and raise the awareness of players who are not yet familiar with the franchise.

Finally, "Resident Evil 5" Gold Edition is equally speculated to be a part of the Xbox Game with Gold list for November. Since "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is scheduled to drop in January, releasing a predecessor of the game will help with marketing. Like "King's Quest," the hype for the franchise can be increased if Microsoft introduces "Resident Evil 5" as a free title.

Of course, since Microsoft has yet to confirm anything, readers should take this news with a grain of salt. However, the tech giant is expected to announce its November list on Oct. 25, Tuesday.
