The amount of titles that gamers can play using the backward compatibility feature of the Xbox One is mounting as five games are stated to be featured and will be ready for gamers to purchase.

These five are: "Frogger," "Galaga Legions DX," "Altered Beast," "Comix Zone," and "The Cave." For those who are unfamiliar with these games, here is a rundown of what to expect from their gameplay to guide players if the game suits their prefered play style.

"Frogger," developed by Konami, is a retro-game that was developed back in the 80s. The objective of the game is to guide the frog that is controlled by the player character to cross the road and river to get to the other side. The player has to avoid obstacles like cars, trucks, and buses along with turtles in the river. This is a fun mindless game for gamers, in order to take a break from heavy-themed video games.

"Galaga Legions DX," developed by Bandai Namco, is a space-shooter game full of colors. Players take control of a spaceship and the goal is to blast wave after wave of enemies. The bright colors of the game attribute to the charm and aesthetics it brings, even though the gameplay mechanic is simple. The video below posted from YouTube shows a sample gameplay.

Gamers that are interested in button mashing and multiplayer functionality may like "Altered Beast" developed by Sega. This game contains elements where players get to control beasts that can punch and kick every opponent to submission. Gamers, however, may lower their expectations in terms of graphics since this game is a 2D side-scrolling game. On the other hand, those who love comic book–themed games and action may most likely get "Comix Zone" coming from the same developer. This game lets players take on a character trapped in a comic book and the goal is to escape that world through punching and kicking.

Finally, "The Cave" lets players explore a dark cave filled with traps and obstacles. The fun factor in this game is that players can get to choose three characters each with distinct abilities. Here is a gameplay footage of the game.
