The release date of the Xiaomi Mi 5 has been one long guessing game so far. It was initially reported to be launched in July, then it was pushed back to September. When the device was still a no-show, fans have presumed that November will be the month.

The WCCF Tech site certainly believes that consumers will finally see the Xiaomi Mi 5 in November. Their confidence is apparently due to other sources in Beijing that have also pegged that the device will roll out during the year's penultimate month. The possibility of the launch happening next month was further reinforced by the recent rollout of the Mi 4C.

In terms of specs, it has been reported that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be sporting a 5.2 inch QHD touchscreen that's covered with a Gorilla Glass 4 and with 2560 × 1440 pixel screen resolution.

The device will reportedly run on either a Snapdragon 810 or a Snapdragon 820 processor. While the latter will undoubtedly be favorable as it will run at 1.8 GHz, some sites have stated that the company will most likely go for the 810, a decision that might not sit well with consumers.

The Mi 5 is said to run Android Lollipop and have a 16 MP rear camera that boasts a dual LED flash and OIS, a 5 MP front camera, and a 3000 mAh battery. The handset will reportedly have 4 GB RAM and a fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi's upcoming flagship device will reportedly be a bit pricier at $399 so the company better make good on their promise of delivering a handset that's superior to the Xiaomi Mi 4. But it seems consumers can relax in the knowledge that on paper, the specs of the Mi 5 looks better than its predecessor.

There's still no confirmation from the company regarding the release date of the Xiaomi Mi 5, so reports of a November rollout should be taken with a grain of salt.
