With Xiaomi due to release the Mi 5 anytime soon, most rumors have focused on the smartphone and its possible features and hardware. However, now rumors started to sprout about the company releasing a laptop next year in April.

The rumors about the company developing a laptop or even a notebook have been making the rounds since last year. Now GSMArena states that the latest rumor has provided details about the possible specifications of such a device. It is also expected that the price tag of the device would be quite low once it arrives in the market.

Importantly, the recent rumor specified that the Xiaomi laptop, which is being created by the PC division of the Chinese manufacturer, will first and foremost be modeled along the lines of the MacBook. Apple released a MacBook earlier this year with a redesigned keyboard and a ForceTouch trackpad and it appears that Xiaomi is looking to copy the design from the device. When it comes to screen size however, this particular device is expected to have a 15.6 inch version with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

As for the hardware on the device, it is supposed to have a Core i7 processor from Intel onboard and as for RAM there will be 8GB. It is also thought to have 2 GB of video memory and when it comes to graphics it will come with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760M graphics card.

With Mi 5 expected to release anytime during January or February of next year there have been a steady stream of rumors about it. Among the latest rumors there have been indications that the device will have a home button and no bezels on the left and right side of the display. Finally, another rumor has indicated that the device will not have ultrasonic fingerprint technology from Snapdragon onboard and instead have traditional scanner which is used on a number of other devices.
