The new ACC Sports icon started appearing on Apple TV home screens on Monday morning, offering highlights of the game and feature programming, as reported by Apple Insider. ACC Sports is the most recent content option on Apple TV, as Apple continuously adds new channels to its streaming set-top box.

As of March 17, ACC Sports features game highlights, "ACC Now," and "Inside: The ACC". It highlights access to the college sports network "Campus Insiders," a view function for up-to-date 'Most Recent,' and a 'Search' panel.

Content can likewise be viewed per school in the conference. Also available is a 'Must See Moments' list.

According to ACC, host Jeff Fischel as well as JR Reid and Drew Barry, ex-ACC basketball greats, will be with the teams during the tournament. Content includes analysis, game previews and the "Road to Texas" feature series.

John Swofford, commissioner of ACC, said that they are pleased with their partnership with Apple, as it will allow their fans an ACC Digital Network access on Apple TV. They see enormous success in seeing the fans enjoy the digital network and bring the content to Apple TV, which is the next exciting step.

With much new content added on Apple TV, Apple is taking steps to make sure that users find it easier to manage channel viewing, such as hiding an unwanted channel using their remote. The new content commenced with the version 6.1 update, earlier in March.

Hide the icon by simply holding the 'Select' button, causing icons on screen jiggle. Then press 'Play' or 'Pause' to bring up the menu and hide the icon. Hidden channels can be reactivated in the 'Settings' menu.

Apple TV's other recent additions are WWE Network, Red Bull TV and TV4. As content options grow, so does Apple TV sales. The device now tops $1 billion in 2013, making it the fastest growing product of the Cupertino-based titan.
