It is alleged that the upcoming "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 3" would tackle the events that transpire in the Chunin exam wherein the new enemies intrude.

According to rumors and predictions that have surfaced online, in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" chapter 3, an examiner guides team Konohamaru to their station and instructs them to stay alert and never leave their bases unattended; otherwise, other teams would snatch their flag.

It is implied that Boruto's arrogance surfaces in this scene as he responds to the examiner, saying that being the son of Hokage, there is no way for him to do anything stupid, such as leaving the area and allowing their opponents to take advantage of the situation. Allegedly, Boruto's statement gets under the examiner's skin. As Sarada notices how Boruto's statement affects the examiner, she just tells him not to mind Boruto, and that they can handle the situation as they are ninjas.

It is also predicted that the previously unknown villains will finally show up in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" chapter 3. However, according to Hall of Fame, it is not likely for these villains to just show up at once; rather, the website opines they will disguise themselves as examiners at first.

Predictions also point that Sarada will ask Boruto to protect the base, while she and Mitsuki take on their enemies. Naturally, it does not sit well with Boruto, as he believes that he is more deserving to work on an offense. He even tells them that he had taken down three monsters without the help of anybody during his training under Konohamaru. However, when Boruto realizes the words that he has just said, he confines himself in a corner and convinces himself that he and his teammates cannot agree with anything at all.

A little later, they find out that a Shinobis has abducted Mitsuki. However, instead of immediately coming to her rescue, Boruto is bent on finishing his exam before hunting down Mitsuki's abductor. However, it will be announced that the Chunin exam will be postponed because of the kidnapping that transpired.

Meanwhile, according to Boruto Manga Blog, it is likely that "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" chapter 3 may be linked to the manga's movie storyline. With this, the blog site opines that rehashing the Boruto movie is just a way of showing that the manga style will be different from that of Kishi, who wrote the Boruto movie, which came out last year.
