"Clash of Clans," first released in 2012, has become one of the most successful and lucrative games in the mobile market right now. The MMO strategy video game from Finnish game developers, Supercell, operates on a freemium strategy that has allowed the game to obtain a large following of players from all over the world.
Given the game's immense popularity, it isn't at all surprising that Supercell has organized its own game convention titled "ClashCon" to be held this Saturday, Oct. 24.
The ClashCon will take place in the Mesukeskus Expo and Convention Centre in Helsinki, Finland. For "Clash of Clans" enthusiasts unable to fly to Finland, the event will be available for livestreaming via the ClashCon website, YouTube and Twitch.
During ClashCon, it is said that Supercell will be announcing a major game update. According to Master Herald, the update will be Halloween-themed and will introduce various changes.
It is rumored that "Clash of Clans" will be introducing a nighttime gameplay mode. Playing at nighttime would make the game more challenging, as visibility will be low. The only sources of light would be coming from the shiny gems and torches. Since it will be a Halloween-themed update, the nighttime gameplay mode may also introduce some spooky elements.
For "Clash of Clans" purists who want to play the original game, the new gameplay mode is rumored to be optional so players will be able to disable it.
According to Yibada, the new update will also introduce Town Hall 11 and the new Barbarian level 8. These new features are said to make the game more challenging and to allow players to further develop their strategical and warrior skills.
Supercell is also rumored to be developing a richer Single Player Mode. The single player game mode will allow players to explore the world of "Clash of Clans" on their own.
With ClashCon only a few days away, it wont be long until Supercell makes the official announcement regarding the major changes within the game.
