The Rev. Dr. Michael Kinnamon, the former general secretary of the National Council of Churches, will accepta a three-year academic post at Seattle University.

Kinnamon, who resigned at the end of last year due to health reasons will move to Seattle in August to become a part of the university's School of Theology and Religious Studies.

For the next three years, he will hold the position of Spehar-Halligan Visiting Professor in Ecumenical Collaboration and Interreligious Dialogue.

The Jesuit Catholic university is in partnership with ten Protestant Denominations, according to the NCC.
