When talking about role-playing games, "Final Fantasy" sticks out like a sore thumb. Its unique gameplay, impressive plot, and awe-inspiring music have captured the hearts of millions of fans across the globe. Now that the much-awaited "Final Fantasy 15" has been released after almost a decade of development, players are already asking, when is "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" coming out?

The official announcement of the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" made waves during the PlayStation Experience last year. Some participants even made bold statements, saying Square Enix has won with that presentation. A year has gone and fans are already feeling uneasy, wondering what has happened to the development of the game.

In an interview with Glixel, "Final Fantasy" Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi shared his thoughts about the remake. He said he was not informed about Square Enix's decision to recreate the game, and that he was surprised to hear about it. Sakaguchi admitted it was an exciting mission, but a daunting one at that. "Yeah, but remakes are difficult," Sakaguchi replied when asked about his insights on the remake. "Look at 'Star Wars.' George Lucas added new CGI to the original and people still prefer to watch the originals rather than the remake. Not to say it's a bad thing. I just think it's difficult." Despite this, fans remain optimistic about the title. One twitter user even pointed out that despite a tiring day, remembering the remake is real makes it all okay. He even shared parts of the expected gameplay, which are very much similar to "Final Fantasy Type-0," scrapping the Active Time Battle system or ATB.

A more surprising yet expected statement from the fans is that they wish to see Aerith once more. It can be remembered that Aerith Gainsborough is one of the prominent characters of the original story. She made even the toughest of players cry after dying from Sephiroth's masamune. It was tragic and iconic at the same time, making it one of the most memorable plots in gaming history.

For now, players will have to make do with the collaboration of "Final Fantasy 7" and "Mobius Final Fantasy." This is the closest fans can get to the remake, and hopefully an official date will be announced in the near future.
