The latest patch for "NBA 2K16" is now here, and it brings in some new additions while also applying a few tweaks.

Starting off with what the latest patch is adding, in a post on the game's official Facebook page, developers revealed that some of the players will be getting new player portraits.

For those folks who may have been bothered by the presence of older player photos being present inside the game, this patch should finally get rid of that issue.

The newest patch is also set to make some needed gameplay tweaks.

For example, deep downcourt play and opportunities for cherry picking have been tweaked via the latest patch.

Dribbling has also been adjusted so that fewer players will possess the explosive first step that could allow them to consistently get by their opponents.

Changes to rebounding and passing have also been implemented to promote more balanced gameplay all throughout "NBA 2K16."

Currently, the latest patch for the game is already available for download for PS4 owners. Xbox One owners can expect the new patch to be made available for them soon, though an exact date has yet to be provided.

Recently, developers also added some new Playoff Moment cards to the game's MyTeam mode.

Players such as San Antonio Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Golden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green and Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams were among those featured in the new cards.

Once the NBA postseason wraps up, both fans and developers will be able to turn their attention to the start of the next season, as well as to the launch of the next "NBA 2K" title.

Not much is currently known about "NBA 2K17," though developers have already announced that the newly retired Kobe Bryant will be on the cover of the game's Legend Edition.

More news about future "NBA 2K16" patches, as well as "NBA 2K17," should be made available soon.
