Nina Dobrev has been reported to be heartbroken over news that her ex-boyfriend Austin Stowell and Emma Stone are dating.
According to Gossip Cop these are pure rumors as reliable sources close to Stowell and Stone have denied the allegations. Stowell and Stone are currently working on the film "Battle of the Sexes" and are strictly professional to each other.
A few months ago, Dobrev and Stowell were reported to have split after seven months of dating. A report mentioned that it was due to the schedule of the two ex-lovers, but they continue to be good friends. Fans started speculating about this when Dobrev attended the Super Bowl 50 without Stowell but with a group of friends instead.
Meanwhile, Dobrev will be returning to the longtime The CW series "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.
In a report from Parent Herald, Julie Plec, showrunner of the series "The Vampire Diaries," confirms the reunion of Dobrev with Ian Somerhalder.
Dobrev's last appearance in "The Vampire Diaries" was in season six since according to her farewell speech, she wanted to take a break and pursue other projects.
Somerhalder, on the other hand, announced early this year that he will be leaving the show after the eighth season.
According to the report, Plec is keeping her side of the deal which is to bring Dobrev back at the very end. Now, the question is if Dobrev will be returning as Elena or Katherine. Majority of the fans are hoping for both. However, this remains unanswered as of the moment.
There were also reports that The CW series is coming to an end. Reports said that the eighth season will be the series finale. This is due to the continuous drop in ratings along with the announcements of Somerhalder and Kat Graham leaving the series.
But these are all speculations and there's no confirmation yet if season eight will be the last.
The release date of the series has yet to be announced.
