'One Punch Man' season 2 rumors: Saitama to become a villain after losing his powers

(Facebook/One Punch Man)Rumor has it that Saitama will lose his powers and will become a villain in "One Punch Man season 2."

"One Punch Man" season 2 does not have a specific release date yet, but there is no denying that it is one of the most-talked-about and highly anticipated anime series. As if the already numerous speculations on what the series, allegedly, will offer when it returns were not loud enough, new rumors surfaced recently claiming that Saitama/One Punch Man will lose his powers and become a villain in the series' upcoming season.

Since the announcement of "One Punch Man" season 2 at the latter part of September, no additional official information about it has been released to the public. Nonetheless, this doesn't stop the fans from talking about the upcoming season 2 of the hit anime series.

According to the latest in the rumor mill, "One Punch Man" season 2 will feature Saitama losing his powers. This, allegedly, will cause him to switch sides. Hence, instead of protecting people, he may turn out to be the one antagonizing them.

As Saitama loses his powers, it goes without saying that he will be defeated in his battles. According to other sources, it will be during the bald superhero's second fight with the regenerated Lord Boros that he will experience his first defeat as, allegedly, the monster villain will discover his weaknesses and use them against him. As to what those weaknesses are, fans can only speculate for now.

However, it is also expected that Lord Boros is not the only villain that Saitama will be facing. In fact, there is a possibility for "One Punch Man" season 2 to feature Saitama clashing with several villains at once as it was also reported earlier that the Monsters Association will gang up on One Punch Man after their leader, Psykos, launches an attack on the superhero.

Meanwhile, there are also rumors saying that "One Punch Man" season 2 may not arrive in early 2017 as its release has been slated for October 2017, which, incidentally, will mark the second anniversary of the arrival of the series' first season. However, without any official word from Madhouse Entertainment, the said release rumor must be taken with a grain of salt for now, just like all the other plot rumors attached to the anime series.
