'One Punch Man' season 2 spoilers, news: Genos to ally with Garou?

(Facebook/OnePunchMan.GB)Will Genos sell out his master in "One Punch Man"?

With the fate of the popular Japanese manga and anime "One Punch Man" still up in the air, the fans are getting worried that manga illustrator Yusuke Murata has no intention to write the much-awaited second season.

According to Game N Guide, it is possible that Murata's silence over any update on the return of the series means there will be no season 2. It has been a year since the release of the first installment, but there is still no concrete news on what are the illustrator's plans for Saitama and the others. Previously, rumors claimed that he was only waiting for the English-dubbed season 1 to finish airing in Toonami before announcing the release date for season 2. Murata, however, has not commented on the said speculations.

Meanwhile, fans can only hope that Saitama's storyline will continue. There have been many theories on what could happen to him in the next installment. Some claim Saitama will lose the power in his punches and become a liability for his faithful disciple Genos. There are even rumors that Genos will turn his back on his master and join the other villains in taking Saitama down.  As per HOF Mag, the cyborg may end up allying with Garou, Bang's former follower.

Garou has been described as a difficult individual who was personally dismissed by Bang. After getting kicked out of his master's dojo, the yellow-eyed villain vows to get revenge. He is one of the predicted opponents of Saitama in season 2, along with Amai and the others. If the speculations about Genos will be true, he will also be plotting to defeat Saitama. Will the cyborg really want to fight his beloved master?

Although Genos frequently asks Saitama to battle with him, the latter always declines and tells his prodigy to train on his own. Saitama fears that his powers will be too much for Genos and he ends up breaking him. Genos has shown frustration in this philosophy of Saitama's before. This may be one of the reasons why he will turn his back on his master and go solo.
