Fans of "Outlander" need not wait too long for leaks and spoilers to emerge as it has been confirmed that filming for season three will begin very soon.
In a recent Q&A session with his Twitter fans, Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie in the series, confirmed the news. A fan asked when the cast will reunite to start getting the scenes completed for season three. Heughan responded: "Season 3!!!! @Outlander_STARZ shooting next month!" The actor included a grimacing emoji, which only shows how excited he is for the shoots.

Aside from filming, there is one more thing Heughan is looking forward to and that is the reunion between his character and Claire (Caitriona Balfe). "The reunion... @catrionambalfe," he wrote.
Heughan isn't the only one ecstatic about the meeting that will soon take place. As fans know, Claire left Jamie behind before the Battle of Culloden. Viewers were heartbroken when the two parted ways but it's now getting clearer that the two will be reunited again in "Outlander" season three.

Meanwhile, Heughan recently talked about that farewell moment between Jamie and Claire. It turns out that the two stars prepared very well for the scene. "We were both very aware that this is the last time they're together, so there is a pressure, but you also don't want to pressurize yourself as an actor, otherwise you begin to tense up," the actor told Yahoo TV earlier this month.
While Claire and Jamie's separation proved to be one of the most heart-breaking moments in the history of "Outlander," it has also opened doors for new storylines that will be depicted in the third installment.
In other news, it is speculated that a major death will occur in the new season. According to Parent Herald, the rumors are already sending waves of intensity among fans as viewers await the purported death of either Jamie or Claire.
If one of the two core characters get killed off somewhere in the middle of the season, production should think of a story that would keep viewers watching despite the loss of a major cast member.
"Outlander" season three is expected to premiere sometime 2017.
