Details about the new series of flagships from Samsung, specifically the Samsung Galaxy Grand On and Mega On, have been leaked online. They suggest that the new handsets, based on the leaked specs, are going to be somewhere in the mid-range class.

According to the report by GSM Arena, it was previously mentioned that the new series of handsets are going to come with a new branding name of "O" and the first two phones were supposed to be called the Galaxy O5 and Galaxy O7. However, it seems like the company has changed that as the upcoming devices will reportedly be called Grand On and Mega On.

As for the specifications, Sam Mobile reported that the Samsung Galaxy Mega On, with a code name of SM-G600, is purported to come with a 5.5-inch HD display and will run on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It is going to be backed up by 1.5 GB of RAM and an 8 GB internal memory capacity, which can be expanded via MicroSD. The Mega On is believed to come with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing snapper.

The other handset, the Samsung Galaxy Grand On, is expected to come with a much inferior power to the Mega. Sam Mobile stated in their report that it will have a much smaller screen size of 5 inches and will be powered by an Exynos 3475 CPU and backed up by 1 GB of RAM. In terms of internal capacity, the Grand On's memory storage is going to be identical to its sibling, which is 8 GB. It can also be expanded via MicroSD.

As for the operating system, both phones are expected to come with the Android 5.1. Regarding the release date, unfortunately, nothing much has been said; therefore, it is best to take the news with a pinch of salt for now and wait for Samsung's official announcement.
