Earlier reports of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 being launched alongside the second-generation Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge now seem more or less confirmed, as the Edge variant codenamed ZenZero has been spotted on benchmarking website HTML5, which scores web browsers in their ability to properly load HTML5 elements.

Samsung is widely expected to launch the Galaxy Note 5 in September, as its predecessor, the successful Galaxy Note 4 released in 2014, will have completed a circle of one year in the market by then. Based on earlier rumors, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to sport a 5.9 inch 4K Super AMOLED UHD display with 2160 x 3840 pixel resolution protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and is likely to be powered by a new Exynos 7422 chipset that could offer an all-in-one processing solution.

Earlier reports had indicated that the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in September would be accompanied by the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge. The Galaxy Note 5 Edge will be the curved version of the Galaxy Note 5 and boast of a new 8 megapixel front camera, apart from a 16 megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization.

The Galaxy Note 5 Edge will reportedly be a dual-edge curved device with either a 5.4-inch or a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, as Samsung is reportedly working on two displays: a 5.78in display for a potential Edge variety (internal code-named Project Zen) and a 5.89in version for the regular flat-screen version, offering incredible pixel densities of 762ppi and 748ppi, respectively. The device will be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and offer 16 GB of internal storage.

In the latest news, a browser test has been found in HTML5test's site showing a Samsung Browser 3.2 on a Samsung Zenzero running Android 5.1.1 OS. ZenZero is said to be the internal name of the Galaxy Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge. The browser scored 503 points, which can be considered as great, as compared to the score of 493 for the presently available mobile browser Chrome 39.

Its predecessor, the Galaxy Note Edge was a "limited edition concept" though the Galaxy Note 5 Edge with the curved screen is not expected to be a limited edition device. Stay tuned for more news, rumors and developments.
