As part of its global marketing campaign with Marvel, the Korean mobile maker has been rumored to be working on an "Iron Man" edition of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung, which has teamed up with Marvel Studios to promote the release of "Avengers: Age of Ultron", is also expected to release more "Avengers"-themed devices in the future.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is the eleventh film in Marvel Cinematic Universe and a direct sequel to "The Avengers", which was released in 2012 and is the third highest-grossing film of all-time. Recent Korean media reports had claimed that Samsung executives who attended the screening of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" were excited at the transparent handheld displays used by the characters in the movies and also featured in the earlier "Iron Man" films. Samsung now plans to release "Avengers"-themed devices, starting with the "Iron Man" edition of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Recently, Lee Young-hee, the head of marketing for Samsung's mobile division, had announced to the press during the Seoul premiere of "Age of Ultron" that the company would launch "Iron Man" phones in the coming weeks. Samsung has now posted a teaser image of its "Avengers"-themed smartphone on Twitter, showing what appears to be the box for a Special Edition of "The Avengers" version of the S6 Edge, with the "Iron Man" character depicted prominently. Other Galaxy S6 "Avengers" Edition smartphones could feature Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, and Black Widow.

According to Samsung's Twitter post, the availability of "Avengers"-themed Galaxy S6 smartphones would differ from region to region, indicating that the special edition devices will not be available in all the countries.
