In episode 3, Cyrus (Jeff Perry) was put behind bars after being suspected of killing Frankie. Following Cyrus' incarceration, Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) is now thrilled by the idea that she will soon become the president of the United States. She will especially be confident since Cyrus is already in prison and it was Olivia who ran her campaign.

While Mellie will be happy about the turn of events, Olivia and the Gladiators will uncover something surprising about the death of Frankie, causing Olivia to doubt Cyrus' guilt. The synopsis for the episode reads, "Cyrus will be facing an ultimate challenge but is steady at proclaiming his innocence. Olivia and the Gladiators find out about a new evidence when Frankie was shot, which will surely shake things up."

The previous episode featured a series of flashbacks that proved how loyal President Fitzgerald Grant's (Tony Goldwyn) ex-main man was to Frankie. The late governor was so close to him that he even wanted him to be his vice president. Silver Times noted that based on the scenes shown in the previous episode, it is possible that Cyrus is actually innocent but Tom (Brian Letscher) forced him to lie to make him pay.

In episode 4, Cyrus will continue to argue that he did not have anything to do with Frankie's assassination. Fans have yet to know if the elements to be discovered by Olivia and the Gladiators will play out in his favor.

"Scandal" season 6 episode 4 airs on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
