Singer-songwriter The Weeknd might have instigated a little rift between Taylor Swift's squad members. Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez might not be in good terms, considering the latter was recently caught getting cozy with Hadid's ex-boyfriend.

Following last year's Victoria Secret show, fans might have hoped that the former couple, The Weeknd and Hadid, would get back together. Recent events, however, suggest that the "Starboy" singer doesn't have any intention of doing so.

According to TMZ, the singer was caught locking lips with former Disney star Selena Gomez last Tuesday night outside Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. Both were spotted leaving dinner together in Los Angeles.

It is to be noted that the actress-turned-singer is good friends with Hadid's older sister, Gigi. E! suggests that the younger Hadid and Gomez were not exactly best friends. They were simply acquainted with one another; hence, they didn't break any rule from the best friend's rule book. The Weeknd's ex-girlfriend has yet to comment on the recent unfolding of events; however, her unfollowing of Gomez on Instagram hours after news broke out might say a lot about what she really feels about it.

E! reports that The Weeknd and Gomez initially intended to keep their rendezvous and their relationship a secret. A source told the news outlet, "At first, Selena and Abel wanted to keep their relationship a secret, but they've decided they really don't care if everyone knows about them."

The source also told the news outlet that they are in a romantic relationship, but both are in no rush.

Another source told E! that The Weeknd has always fancied Gomez. "He thinks she is extremely talented and sexy. They recently started talking before the holidays but she has been on his radar before."
