Update 1.4, the tweak-filled downloadable expected to make widespread changes to "Tom Clancy's: The Division" is expected to come out this month, and a recent development may be hinting that it is inching closer and closer to being ready for deployment.

As The Inquisitr noted, public testing for Update 1.4 ending just recently may be a sign that the downloadable itself may be released sooner rather than later.

Notably, developers have yet to announce anything new with regards to the update itself, though with a new "State of the Game" address set to be issued soon, players may want to tune in just to make sure they don't miss out on a potentially significant revelation.

While not expected to add new weapons or areas, "The Division's" Update 1.4 is still expected to be an important addition to the game.

In an earlier post that can be seen on the game's official website, developers noted that the update will apply tweaks to loot drops so that they will be even more helpful to players.

With the new update installed, players are expected to find more loot items that will help them upgrade their in-game characters even faster. What's even better for players is that the changes coming to the loot system should help ensure that the items they receive will be particularly suitable for their characters.

Player equipment will also be tweaked by Update 1.4, with weapons and certain pieces of armor now set to be balanced better.

Balance tweaks are also coming to the game's Dark Zone.

Enemy encounters are also expected to change significantly, and even kill times will be adjusted.

Lastly, Update 1.4 will also be introducing some "Quality of Life" additions that should also help improve the experience of playing the game.

Following the release of Update 1.4, "The Division" players can look ahead to "Survival" – the game's second expansion pack – being made available before the end of the year.
