Xbox Live Free Games with Gold July 2015: celebrate the big anniversary with two free games every month from July
July may be only a few days away, but Xbox Live Gold subscribers can't wait for June to end. Recently, several announcements were made on the official Xbox website and the news surrounding Microsoft's paid subscription service was nothing but fantastic.
In an update posted last week, Will Tuttle, Xbox Wire's editor-in-chief revealed that Xbox Live Gold would be celebrating its second anniversary by offering more free game titles to its members starting next month.
"This July represents two full years since we began giving Xbox Live Gold members access to amazing games to play with your friends. As a special thank you to our members and all Xbox fans, we're announcing that starting in July; Gold members get more with two new Games with Gold every month on Xbox One! Each month Gold members will enjoy four new free games; two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360; On Xbox One enjoy a new game on the 1st and 16th of every month, each available to download for a full month," posted Tuttle.
If this news wasn't exciting enough, Tuttle also revealed the titles that would be available for free download on Xbox Live Gold and the selection couldn't have been more perfect. Xbox Live Gold subscribers will receive two AAA titles: one for Xbox One and a game for Xbox 360.
"Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" will be available for free on Xbox One for the whole month of July. The game, which is arguably one of the better titles of the franchise, has received very high ratings on aggregator sites, with an 81 percent on both Metacritic and GameRankings.
Xbox 360 users, on the other hand, will receive "Gears of War 3" during the latter half of the month. The third installment of the widely successful "Gears of War" franchise is among the more commercially successful offerings in the series with over one million pre-orders recorded.
