'Battlefield 4' latest news: Complicated and elaborate Easter egg leads to special camo equipment
Since its release in 2013, first-person shooter game "Battlefield 4" has been both a critical and commercial success. Last Dec. 15, Electronic Arts released Legacy Operations, a free DLC update with an updated version of Dragon Valley.
Avid "Battlefield" gamer Jackfrags has cracked what is possibly the most complicated Easter egg to be included in the game. In his YouTube video, he goes through each step needed to solve the Easter egg.
The very elaborate Easter egg can be found on the Dragon Valley map. Players need to locate a flickering lantern. As it turns out, the lantern has a hidden message that can only be decoded through Morse code. When the code is decoded, it says, "Did you miss me? Goodluck JJJU," which is a nod to game architect Julian Manolov.
Once the lantern stage is decoded, players will look for a new keypad hidden behind a wooden pillar with another Morse code. The message will ask players to head over to the Zavod: Graveyard Shift map. Upon reaching this map, players will look for a rock with a croaking sound. The sound reveals a message that translates to the number value 83980800000. Entering the message into the keypad will lead to yet another Morse Code message.
The latest Morse Code message leads to different configurations. Once players follow the specific instructions, they will be awarded with a special prize. Unlocking this very complicated Easter egg will award players with the DICE LA camo equipment. The camo equipment was only initially accessible for "Battlefield 4" game developers.
Hopefully, with the comprehensive guide illustrated here, players will have an easier time decoding the latest "Battlefied 4" Easter egg.
"Battlefield 4" is available to play on the following platforms – Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows PC. The Legacy Operations DLC will only be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft Windows PC.
