Cleveland Cavaliers trade rumors 2016: DeMarcus Cousins to complete three-team trade?

(Reuters/Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports)Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins might still head to the Cleveland Cavaliers via trade but this time it involves the Phoenix Suns.

The reigning National Basketball Association (NBA) champions Cleveland Cavaliers are still linked to Sacramento Kings All-Star Center DeMarcus Cousins. Now, a new trade rumor involving both sides emerges and this time, it involves the Phoenix Suns.

In previous speculations, it was believed that if a switch is taking place, Cousins would head to Cleveland, while former All-Star big man Kevin Love would become part of the Kings.

However, it seems like the Kings are not interested in Love who decided to take the backseat since he joined the Cavs.

Still, Cousins might be a Cavalier in the future if the Suns intervene. In a report by Yibada.com, a three-team trade was proposed.

In the potential swap, Cousins go to Cleveland, the Suns will acquire Love, and the Kings get point guard Eric Bledsoe.

The arrival of Cousins in "The Land" will make the Cavaliers a better squad. This might be the franchise's big move to match the Golden State Warriors' signing of Kevin Durant this free agency.

Love, on the other hand, remains to be a favorite topic in trade talks because of his diminished performance after parting ways with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 27-year-old's constant involvement in rumors led to him already being connected to the Suns before.

In Phoenix, Love could again be that franchise superstar he once was when he was still with the Wolves. The only reason why he left his old team was because of his championship aspirations. Now that he has already won a ring, it might be time to again establish himself as one of the best big men in the league, but with a different organization.

The Kings giving up Cousins may be far from happening but it was always seen as a possibility. If this deal materializes, they get Bledsoe who is a high-scoring playmaker and has the potential to be an All-Star. It also addresses their need for a point guard since as of the moment, the only legitimate player they have at the no. 1 position is Darren Collison.
