A policeman in McKinney, Texas has resigned from his job after a video of him throwing a 14-year old girl on the ground and pinning her down surfaced.

The policeman forced the teenage girl to the ground and kneeled on her back to pin her down. The video also showed the policeman pull out his gun for a moment as other onlookers moved in to try and help the girl.

The policeman was reprimanding a group of teenagers who were not supposed to be in a restricted Texan community pool party. Things turned ugly after the teens did not leave the premises after being told to do so. The 14-year old girl was one of the teens reprimanded. Apparently, she and the officer got into the altercation when the confrontation badly escalated.

The 14-year old recalled the incident to KDFW Fox and said, "He grabbed me, and he like twisted my arm on the back of my back, and he shoved me in the grass, and started pulling the back of my braids. And I was telling him he could get off me, because my back was hurting really bad."

The police officer has been identified as Eric Casebolt, and he was heard yelling at the kids before the altercation with the 14-year old: "Y'all make me f--king run around here with 30 pounds of goddamn gear on in the sun, because you want to screw around out here."

Casebolt has been working for the McKinney police department for 10 years.

McKinney, Texas police department chief Greg Conley announced in a news conference after the incident that "several concerns about the conduct of one of the officers at the scene have been raised" and continued to say that "the McKinney Police Department is committed to treating all persons fairly under the law. We are committed to preserving the peace and safety of our community for all our citizens."

An adult man was also arrested for interfering in the situation without authority. The man also refused arrest after being busted. Conley revealed the 14-year old and other teens detained were handed over to their parents or legal guardians.
