'WWE 2K17' release date may have been leaked via a retailer listing
"WWE 2K17" is set to be released later this year, and now, a retailer listing may have just revealed exactly when the new wrestling game will be made available.
ThisGenGaming has shared an image of the listing that seems to indicate that the new game will be released in the United Kingdom on Oct. 21, which happens to fall on a Friday.
As the web site noted, UK game releases usually take place on Fridays, so there may be something to the date indicated in the image.
The web site also indicated that with "WWE 2K17" possibly being released in the UK on Oct. 21, players in North America may expect it to be made available to them a bit earlier, with Oct. 18 being mentioned as a possible debut date for the game.
The retailer listing which contained the potential release date for the wrestling game has reportedly been deleted and re-added, though the new entry apparently no longer contains the specific arrival date.
For now, the only thing officially known about the arrival of the upcoming wrestling game is that it will be taking place this October, as Take-Two revealed in a recently released financial report.
Perhaps more details about "WWE 2K17's" official release date will also be shared at the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). But even if the announcement isn't made by then, wrestling fans will still want to tune in to the event to learn more about the new roster additions.
2K has invited WWE portrait artist Rob Schamberger to create a new work of art that features the game's latest roster additions at E3.
The picture will be painted upon what has been termed as a "Superstar-sized canvas," according to a post on WWE.com, and fans who want to see the new portrait while it is still being created can drop by 2K's booth at E3.
More news about "WWE 2K17" should be made available in the near future.
