According to an industry insider update, the GTA 5 PS4 release date along with the Xbox One version has been confirmed for release later this year.

Currently, there is little information available about the GTA V Xbox One and PS4 release date. Though there is yet no official confirmation from publisher Rockstar Games, there is no denial either.

Since Rockstar declined to provide details on the GTA 5 release date for next-gen platforms, industry insiders have provided their own insight and speculations. Insiders confirmed through Twitter accounts the GTA 5 PS4 and Xbox One release date is later this year.

In a Twitter conversation, Gamepur quoted a response of insider Shinobi602, though official information on the GTA V release date on the next-gen consoles is absent, Rockstar has definitely a big game title in its pipeline this year.

In response to a question about GTA V, Shinobi602 replied he has no clue, other than that the company has a game ready for this year, which he imagined to be GTA 5.

Shinobi602's response was echoed by others. On another gaming site, Gearnuke said his previous predictions did come true.

Another insider cited by Gamepur is Ahsan Rasheed, whose Twitter is @thuway. A certain tweet series on Rasheed's twitter account mentioned GTA 5 as the sole remastered version which is predicted to sell over four million in Xbox One and PS4 this year. When asked by Gamepur about GTA V's launch date, he replied only "E3. Someone's conference..."

While many have been hoping for a GTA V for next-gen consoles to make headlines at the upcoming E3 2014, history however speaks against such predictions, as Rockstar never announced new game titles at E3.
