Jeremy Lin news 2016: Playmaker enjoying Brooklyn Nets' training facility, HSS Training Center
Point guard Jeremy Lin will don the black and white of the Brooklyn Nets next season and he is already loving the changes, specifically the HSS Training Center where the team holds its practices.
On a recent post on Snapchat, Lin had a video of himself admiring the HSS Training Center and the view it has. Anthony Puccio of SB Nation shared the clip through a tweet.
Lin headed back to New York this free agency after signing with the Nets. His decision was a little suprising to others since he initially expressed the desire to stay with the Charlotte Hornets after the team's 2015-16 season ended.
The Hornets again became playoff contenders last season and was a surprise squad in the Eastern Conference and the National Basketball Association (NBA). One of the reasons for the success were the roster moves made by the franchise in last year's off-season.
Lin was a great addition to the Hornets during the previous season. He was a perfect fit as Kemba Walker's backup and was performing efficiently.
Because of this, Lin became a target in free agency although he wanted to remain a Hornet.
However, things may have not worked out between Lin and the Hornets that led to him inking a deal with the Nets earlier this month.
Now in Brooklyn, Lin has a strong chance to get the starting job at the no. 1 position. Joining the 27-year-old at point guard as of the moment and possibly competing with him for the starting role are veteran Randy Foye, and Shane Larkin.
Lin's experience and the momentum he has coming off a successful season are something the Nets could use for the franchise to return to the playoffs.
Last season, for the first time in four years, the Nets missed the postseason after ending with a 21-61 record.
