Lenovo A7000 Plus offers cinema-like Dolby speakers and budget-friendly price
Lenovo has introduced its latest smartphone offering, the A7000 Plus, in the Philippines earlier this week. The A7000 Plus is an exclusive offering from Philippine-based online retailer, Lazada. The smartphone is a mid-range handset from Lenovo, but despite the low price tag, it does not scrimp on the essential features.
The Lenovo A7000 Plus also comes with significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, the A7000, which was released earlier this year. The key improvements are found in the better display quality, faster processor and larger memory capacity.
The Lenovo A7000 Plus features a large 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution and 401 ppi pixel density. The device is only 7.9 mm thin and weighs 140 grams.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core 1.7 GHz 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 processor and has 2 GB of RAM. It also has 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD slot.
The A7000 Plus has a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. The front-facing camera has 5 MP. The smartphone's camera is also capable of Full HD video recording.
The device is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery, which translates to about 36 hours of talktime. It also has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB and dual-SIM capabilities. The smartphone comes loaded with the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS right out of the box.
Lenovo equipped the A7000 Plus with Dolby Atmos speakers that provide a dynamic 360-degree theater-like surround sound experience.
Other features include a proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer and FM radio. The Lenovo smartphone also comes in two colors, Onyx Black and Pearl White.
The affordable Lenovo A7000 Plus is currently on sale in the Philippines for ₱7,999, which translates to about $172.
Lenovo has not yet announced whether they will be releasing the A7000 Plus to other countries.
