Korean electronics company LG has officially announced that they are releasing their newest high-end smartphone, the G6. The latest gadget is set to be the one of the most sought-after smartphones this year due to its notable specs.
A new product video of the G6 has been released by LG, which highlights the smartphone's sophisticated specs, such as its 5.7-inch HD display, wide angle cameras with various new settings, water and dust resistance, fingerprint unlock, game battery saver and many more.
LG has dubbed it as the "big screen that actually fits in your hand."
In addition to that, Trusted Reviews commented on that particular feature, saying, "Rather than the typical 16:9 aspect ratio almost every smartphone since the original iPhone has utilised, LG has switched to an 18:9 ratio display (basically 2:1) that gives you more screen in a smaller body."
According to PC Advisor, the G6 will be powered by Android Nougat 7.0. Other specs include a 4 GB RAM, 32/64 GB storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, Adreno 530 graphics, 13-megapixel dual wide-angle rear cameras and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera, Bluetooth 4.2, 3,300mAh non-removable battery and wireless charging (US only), to mention a few.
The Korean version of the smartphone will come with a Hi-Fi quad DAC, which enables high-quality audio output, and a dual SIM slot.
The G6 will be released on March 9 for Korea, and on the first week of April for the US, UK, and Europe. The specific date has not yet been announced as of writing.
Consumers who are interested to buy the product will have three color options: Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Mystic White. However, there has yet to be an official statement regarding the pricing of the LG G6.
The announcement of the LG G6 was first made at the still on-going Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The event will close on Thursday, March 2.
