Smartphone accessories producer ZeroLemon introduced its new LG V20 10,000-milliampere hour (mAh) capacity TriCell extended battery with soft thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) full edge protection case on Jan. 18. V20 owners can expect that the battery-cum-protective case product will protect their units from accidental drops while increasing by threefold their phone's original battery life.

According to a company representative, the product comes with a 180-day ZeroLemon warranty. Part of the spokesperson's statement reads, "There was a real need for a better performing battery and that's exactly what we are delivering along with a premium LG V20 battery case at a very attractive price point."

The battery case has a width of 3.25 inches, height of 6.47 inches and thickness of 0.82 inch, as well as a weight of 8.12 ounces or 230 grams. Buyers of the case, however, should note that the V20 phone weighs 6.14 ounces and adding the case could mean a more than twofold increase in the phone's original weight.

Along with the ZeroLemon 180-day warranty, online retailer Amazon also offers a 30-day full refund guarantee for the case-cum-battery package, the longest offered warranty period in the market today. ZeroLemon also offers support for 24 hours, seven days a week, as well as a 100% Zero Defect Guarantee.

The product, however, does not offer screen protection and has no near-field communication (NFC) capabilities.

ZeroLemon was established by several smartphone enthusiasts with the aim of producing high capacity batteries and battery cases for such flagship smartphones as the iPhone from Apple and Galaxy phones from Samsung. It is focused in making products that consumers will be using 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The company is headed by chief executive officer (CEO), Stephen Chan.

Among its products are the 9H hardness tempered glass screen protector, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) screen protector, and lightning MFi cables.
