Previously, 2K has hinted and teased fans that this installment is going to be much immersive when it comes to the story. The publisher's statement also included that fans will also get to see vehicles and other stuff that are accurate during that era.

"Mafia III is the next installment in the popular series known for immersing players into a world of organized crime through rich narrative storytelling and a beautifully crafted game world featuring period-accurate cars, music, and fashion," the publisher wrote in their statement via GameSpot.

PC Gamer also added that the player's decision will have a huge impact to the city and possibly the narrative of the story. The player can capture gang members and interrogate them and if the mood is right, players can decide to spare and release them or worse, kill the captured enemy on the spot.

Unfortunately, the publisher did not announce the official release date of "Mafia 3." However, as reported on IGN, it seems like fans can expect the IP to be available by next year, 2016.

As for the platforms the game will be made available for, the publisher still has not released it yet, but as stated on GameSpot, it is likely that "Mafia 3" is going to be released on next-gen consoles, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as on the PC platform.
