Microsoft has unveiled its less than 10 mm thin Universal Mobile Keyboard that works with iOS devices, Android devices and Windows tablets.

According to the official press release"With the Microsoft Universal Mobile Keyboard, getting stuff done while you're on the go has never been easier. Power through emails, put together a proposal, build a presentation, or simply instant message with a friend."

The release adds, "The Universal Mobile Keyboard has an OS switch that lets you change from one operating system to another while maintaining a fully functional keyboard. And with the physical "chiclet" style keyset on this keyboard, you'll feel like you're typing on your laptop without lugging around the extra weight or bulk,"

Portability is the DNA of this new product that comes out of Microsoft's turf.

It is quick and easy to set-up, and can be easily connected to a laptop while waiting at the airport lobby or iPad while inside a coffee shop.

The wireless keyboard automatically turns on after the protective cover is lifted up, and shuts down once closed.

The cover has a detachable stand that allows the user to position the keyboard in the most comfortable way possible.

It connects via Bluetooth. The Universal Mobile Keyboard, however, does not have a touch pad.

Universal Mobile Keyboard retails for $79.95, and is available in black and gray.

Aside from this, Microsoft has introduced an array of PC accessories including a Bluetooth 4.0 Low-Energy version of Arc Touch Bluetooth Mouse, wireless mobile mouse and a new Xbox One controller for Windows:

"The controller, due out in November, brings the feel of Xbox One to your PC, and it's simple to use, plugging into any available USB slot. It's compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8. It can also work with your Xbox One, either wirelessly or with the cable, making it more versatile than other third-party PC controllers," according to Microsoft.

In other news, Reuters reports that Microsoft has announced an increase in quarterly dividend and added two new directors.
