Moto G 2016 release date, specs rumors: Two variants may soon be announced
People may be set to see something new when it comes to the Moto G 2016, and they may even have to get ready to see double.
According to the latest rumors surrounding this particular device, two different variants of it may be announced soon.
Recently, renowned tipster Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks on Twitter, shared a picture of what looks to be the Moto G that noticeably came without a home button. It's worth noting that the tweet recently shared by Blass also contained a link to an earlier post that included a picture of another device, though that image featured the previously missing home button.
The tweets could be hinting at the possibility that there will be two different variants of the Moto G 2016 that will soon be released, and as The Verge noted, whether or not the device possesses a home button may be one way to tell apart the standard edition from the so-called "Plus" model.
Beyond the presence, or lack thereof, of the home button, there may also be other differences that exist between the rumored device variants.
According to Android Pit, the "Plus" model may come out ahead in terms of what it can offer to users since it may have both a larger screen and a better camera. On top of that, the web site also suggests that the "Plus" variant may also feature a fingerprint reader.
The two variants may also end up featuring other noteworthy differences when it comes to their internal and external components, and people may be able to find out about those differing elements soon enough.
Motorola is currently set to host an event this Tuesday, May 17, and the two rumored devices are widely expected to show up.
Hopefully, by the end of May 17, people will know more about the specific specs and features of the Moto G 2016 devices.
