Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will be customizable on Moto Maker website

There have been several rumors over the past months suggesting that Motorola is planning to release a DROID Turbo 2 soon. Now, there are indications that the device once released or being made available for pre-order, the device could be customized on the Moto Maker website, just like the Moto X Style, Moto X Play and Moto G.

This particular report concerning the customization options of the rumored DROID Turbo 2 came via CNET, which stated that the device would be available via Verizon. However, customers would get a chance to go to the Moto Maker website and customize it with a number of colors and materials. The ability to customize Motorola smartphones is one of its best features and the current Moto X Style can be almost fully customized on its exterior with users choosing different colored frames, metal accents and even outfitting the back panels with silicone, leather or wood.

However, other models like the Moto X Play and the ultra cheap third generation Moto G have fewer customizations options on the Moto Maker website. Given that customization can be controlled extensively on the website, it is natural that Motorola will provide the same opportunity to those who are buying the Moto DROID Turbo 2. Additionally, with the DROID Turbo 2 expected to be sturdier compared to the Moto X Play and the Moto X Style, Motorola could end up providing very unique materials and customization options to users.

According to GottabeMobile, rumors also indicate that the DROID Turbo 2 will be released internationally as the Moto X Force and will have a display that is virtually "shatterproof". While this is a welcome development, it is unlikely that Motorola will abandon its tendency to create devices with a metal frame and front and back panels featuring either plastic or a variety of other materials.

Finally, coming to the release date of the DROID Turbo it is expected to land in November and is widely thought to have the Snapdragon 810 Processor and 3 GB RAM.
