One of the key features of the "Road to Boruto" expansion pack coming to "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is its overhauled story mode, and developers have revealed more details about it.

First off, as developers noted in a recent post on the game's official website, the new story mode will be "fully based on BORUTO: Naruto the Movie."

This means that players who haven't seen the movie yet, can now find out about it through their game. But as for those who have watched the film, well, there are still new storyline details they can look forward to seeing.

During a recent interview with Famitsu, CyberConnect 2's Hiroshi Matsuyama and Bandai Namco Entertainment's Miho Nakagawa talked about "Road to Boruto."

A recent report from Shonengamez.com contains a translation of the interview.

Moving on now to what was revealed, Matsuyama shared that there will also be original parts included in "Road to Boruto's" story mode beyond those elements that were featured in the film.

Matsuyama did not hint at what these additions would be, so "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" players will just have to find that out for themselves.

Also revealed during the interview was the length of the new story mode.

According to Matsuyama, it should take players around 3-4 hours to go through the new story-based content, but if they will really attempt to complete all that is included, then it may take them around 10 hours to finish it.

One last thing, Nakagawa also revealed that "Road to Boruto" will be the last downloadable content pack released for the game, indicating that enough add-ons have been provided.

Players will gain access to all the additions included in the "Road to Boruto" expansion pack once it is released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" on Feb. 3, 2017.
