'Need for Speed' latest update adds SpeedLists, Prestige Mode and new trophies/achievements
"Need for Speed" players are getting a bunch of new additions via the game's latest update, ranging from multiplayer events to single players challenges.
Starting off with the new additions to multiplayer, players can now try out a new game feature known as SpeedLists.
With SpeedLists, players can quickly jump into a series that includes five pre-selected events as they compete with other human players.
Players will also be able to choose the type of series they want to compete in, with choices ranging from Quick Play, Speed, Style or Mixed.
Once all the events are completed, the scores are tallied and the best performers get a nice little cinematic clip for their troubles.
On top of that, players will also be competing with the other members of the "Need for Speed" community as they vie for different titles that indicate their place within racing's elite.
A new Prestige Mode has also been added and this offering allows players to take on some of the most memorable events in the game, all while trying to also beat established high scores across different play styles.
As detailed on the game's official web site, players will only gain access to Prestige Mode after they have completed the game's main storyline.
New trophies and achievements have also been added to "Need for Speed." The new achievements and trophies are tied to the other aforementioned additions coming via the latest update and there will be three in total for players to collect.
Players will also be able to try out two new Activities known as Drift Corners and Speed Runs. Both activities can be found close to Ventura Bay for players looking to set some new high scores.
Along with all the aforementioned additions, the latest "Need for Speed" update also introduces some bug fixes and game improvements that will hopefully improve the playing experience.
